Churches of Christ

This all started when the Mount Barker Church in the Adelaide Hills asked one of it's Deacons to set up an e-mail address for the Church through his home based computer repair and webhosting business. The domain name "cofc.org.au" was secured by the Church, and it was thought that it would have wide appeal to other Churches of Christ also. Consequently, a decision was made to offer sub-domains from that name to any other member Church of the Australian Churches of Christ that would like one, free of charge.
This would enable any Church choosing to take up the offer to have a web address like "www.churchname.cofc.org.au", and email addresses like "office@churchname.cofc.org.au"

While the domain name itself is licenced to the Mount Barker Church, any other services you choose to take up, will be provided by the member's business at competitive rates.

If your Church already has a website, we offer to set up a sub-domain for you, set it to redirect all web traffic to your existing website, and add a link to your new address in this directory site, for a one off administration fee of $25. There are no ongoing charges for this service as long as we retain the domain name, and the business is still runing. This service does not include E-mail redirection, but if required, this can be added for a monthly fee, quoted on the basis of the volume of e-mail you send and receive.

If your Church does not have it's own website, we can offer a range of packages to host a website for you starting from $2 per month for our "Billboard" package. This is suitable for a basic informational website with limited interactive features. All hosting packages include a comprehensive set of tools for website creation and administration, and also include the ability to create e-mail addresses. The sub-domain name, and link in the directory are of course, also included. If your website plans exceed the capabilities of our 3 standard packages, we are happy to custom build a package just for you with everything you need, and nothing you don't.

While all the tools and materials required to build your own website are included in all our packages, we can also arrange our sub-contracted web designers to build your site for you. This can, but does not have to, be a relatively expensive exercise. If you're not game to give it a go, then we are happy to make all the arrangements for you.

While we are happy to provide web hosting services to any Church group, the free sub-domain name offer is only available to member Churches. Your initial enquiry will be forwarded to the National Council of the Churches of Christ in Australia for confirmation of your membership status. To help facilitate this process, it would be preferable if your request came from the Secretary of your fellowship. After this initial confirmation has been made, we will be happy to communicate directly with you, and will forward full details on whichever of the possibilities most interests you.
